Getting Started Training Opportunities

You need no formal qualifications before you start, but as you work there will be the opportunity to develop skills through on-the-job training and learning courses. Many of these are work-based or involve day release to attend local colleges. Others are full time training courses for which allowances may be payable. Before starting work, all social care workers are subject to checks with the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) - click here for further details.
